About Us
Clover Community School is a K-8 private, independent school serving different learners who seek a hands on, project based approach to education. Located on a beautiful 5 acre farm, students at Clover learn traditional academic subjects in the classroom and apply them in our vegetable garden, while caring for our animals, and while building in our tinkering area. Students desiring a pre-career focused, vocational life skills program may stay with us through grade 12.
Our Philosophy
After years of working within the traditional education system, we noticed a number of profoundly alarming trends adversely affecting the social, emotional, and behavioral development of students. Focusing on high stakes testing, schools are decreasing or eliminating recess, physical education, and unstructured movement. Not so at Clover! We aim to increase our students' capacity to problem solve, self regulate, and feel a passion for learning by engaging hands on with their natural surroundings. Abundant opportunities exist on our farm and within our local community to engage in experiential learning!
Seeking Explorers
Clover seeks students interested in a project based, experiential learning environment. Our students will spend more time outdoors and in community settings than is typical of most schools; those interested in a Clover education must be ready to get their hands dirty!
